Penelopa Palace Apart Hotel & SPA

Excellent

Pros: We booked an apartment - spacious and clean with large balcony. There was cleaning service every day. Food at breakfast was also very good. Beach is right across the street so 2 mins walk. The hotel has a pool -standard and kid pool which is also great. I really recommend this place

Pros: We were more than impressed by the spacious room we were given, the bed was comfortable, there was AC, a very big terrace, an equipped kitchen with a washing machine - anything you might need during your stay. The restaurant also offered a great variety of meals, a bit pricey but the quality was fantastic (including breakfast). We were also offered a closed parking spot for an additional fee which was great. I really enjoyed the spa - clean, quiet and quite a few facilities and services you can try out. The pool was very well maintained, the water temp was quite low but I attribute that to the colder weather we had. And the staff was very lovely, always available to help out and everyone was generally super hospitable there. Our towels were frequently changed

Cons: A few minor nitpicks: - the waiting time at the restaurant was quite long - the umbrellas by the pool couldn't be adjusted to shield you from the sun and there were only a few specific shady spots which were understandably often occupied - our room was facing a hotel which was quite noisy during the day as it frequently hosted kids parties and you could hear every word coming from the dj - no coffee machine in the room

Pros: The hotel is right by the beach. Rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. Our room and common areas were cleaned daily, with fresh towels and bedding provided. Staff is really welcoming and polite. We were provided with a cot on arrival which was clean and our little one slept well. Breakfast is varied and plentiful, and the a la carte manu at the restaurant is delicious. We didn't use the pool as we prefer the beach, but it looked clean and spacious. There's a soft play area for children which is also cleaned daily and provided good entertainment for our daughter. The hotel is located in a really quiet corner of Pomorie, which we knew in advance and it wasn't a problem. However, you could walk into the old town in 50min, there's an alley by the sea or there is regular public transport.

Cons: The WiFi signal is very weak, maybe some more routers will help. Everything else was fantastic!

Nice holiday at a nice hotel with great facilities

Pros: Perfect location, nearby the beach, nice restaurant

Cons: A little bit overpriced, but very good overall

Pros: The hotel itself is a spotless. Beach is 50m away BUT you have to pay for all beach furnitures. Restaurant is ok, however you might get cheaper 10-20 walk toward Pomorie centre.

Cons: The area is a dead end part of Pomorie.

Pros: A very decent size apartment, modern, clean and very comfortable. Sea view and beach at your doorstep. Fantastic breakfast. Friendly staff.

Cons: Shower in bathroom did not have much power but this was minor compared to the overall great experience during our stay.

Pros: The food, apartment is big, washing machine was a surprise.

Cons: No coffee machine or a small mokka to make a coffee in the morning, furniture needs reparations.

Penelopa Palace is a 'must visit' hotel

Pros: The apartment was lovely and spacious and had very comfortable beds. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean everywhere. The breakfast was good, with slightly different food items to choose from each day. The pool area had plenty of sunbeds, which were comfortable to lie on. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The evening menu had lots of choice, all the food we had was cooked well and was delicious. We all had a great time and would like to thank everyone, from the reception staff, to the cleaners for making our stay so wonderful.

Cons: There is nothing we didn't like! However, maybe providing some milk in the apartment upon arrival would be an added bonus (there were a few small bottles of water, tea bags and sachets of coffee provided). Maybe even a small packet of biscuits too. It wasn't cheap to stay here, so a couple of extra courtesy items in the room would have been nice. This is usually common place when staying in apartments in the UK. The hotel is also in a very quiet part of the resort, with a few options for eating out, if you didn't want to eat at the hotel every night. Great for peace and quiet in the daytime though, but we needed to drive or get a taxi to get to other parts of the resort if we wanted to go elsewhere on a couple of nights. One of our daughters is vegetarian (but will eat some fish), and whilst she really enjoyed the salad choices on offer at the hotel, maybe a couple of vegetarian pasta dishes could be offered on the menu as well in the future. There was a lack of vegetarian options everywhere we went, though, to be fair, unless you wanted pizza or fish every night.

Great value for money, nice location and wonderful restaurant.

Pros: Well located, clean, good facilities, excellent restaurant on site.

Cons: Difficult to park. English communication was a challenge. WiFi was unreliable.

Pros: Staff was fantastic great service and very attentive staff and great hotel very clean and great atmosphere and great amenities

Cons: Car parking was not very secure
